Eos shrugged at Lonely; the worm thing didn't seem weird to her. She was about to say something else when the jester came back over. Each step squeaked, but it made it hard to stand.
"Okaaayyy! I'm ready for some fun!" she laughed as she picked up Lonely and Eos. Pandora stood in the jail, waving up before sighing. The two of them sat in the jester's hand as she made her way over to a large, clear box.
"This is my favorite part!" She set the two of them inside the box and walked away. There were small holes all around the walls, but not big enough for Eos to stick her foot in to climb out.
"What's going to happen?" Lonely asked, stepping into the corner of the box.
"Well, it's not going to fill with water." Eos reasoned. The jester came skipping back, holding what looked like a large jar of perfume. The daughter sprayed it over them. It smelled like vanilla, and there was now glitter everywhere.
"What the heck-" Eos coughed.
"I hate glitter." Lonely spat, trying to get the glitter out of his mouth. Eos started to laugh.
"You look like you just got sneezed on by a unicorn!" she snorted, then coughed again because there was still glitter in the air.
"Unicorns are real?!" Lonely's eyes got huge.
"Yeah. You don't have them on earth?"
"Man, this blows!" Lonely sat down, "Earth sucks compared to the rest of the galaxy! Everyone hates you and treats you terribly! They call you names and blame you for your mom's death! People abandon you and leave you to fend for yourself the best you can, but it's hard to do that when you're a kid. Honestly, I never wanted to stay on earth, even before I knew there was other life out here! Now I've outlived everyone I knew on earth, and I don't feel sad in the slightest! I get to live an adventure out in the stars!" he laughed, his hand on his head. Eos thought he looked insane. "I lied too!" he continued, "we don't call our parents Aunts. I had a mom and dad, but my dad left, and my mom was so devastated that she drove herself into insanity before she committed suicide because I wasn't enough! I was never enough for anyone back home! My aunts blamed me for my mom's death because I couldn't help her! I was never good enough for them! They couldn't even say my name right. To them I was lonely and I never got to know my own name!" He was crying now, but he was still laughing, "but I don't know why I'm telling you this! You don't care! You just want to get this over with! I need to stop talking!" he slammed his hand over his mouth.
It took Eos a second before she felt words coming up her throat, "MY FATHER HATES ME!" she blurted. Lonely looked up at her, "I was never good enough either! My father hated having me around. He let me join the Sun Guard just to get rid of me because I reminded him of my mother, who passed away after I was born! He adored my sister and my brother, but me? There was nothing I could do to gain his attention! I was never good enough! Strong enough! I wasn't like my siblings! In his eyes, I killed her. He treats me like how you'd treat a black cat." Eos covered her mouth and pressed herself against the glass wall behind her.
"See... isn't this fun?" the daughter hummed, she was lying on her stomach, watching them, "secrets coming to light is much better than hiding them, huh?"
"You're insane!" Eos and Lonely snapped in unison.
"Tell me about it." The jester rolled her eyes.
Something exploded behind her, and it sent the box flying.
